Terms of Service for Multi-Level Board Dependencies

Effective date: October 12, 2026
Last updated: October 12, 2026

1. Agreement and authority

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Multi-Level Board Dependencies (the “App”), provided by Matthew McVay, an individual developer (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, enabling, configuring, purchasing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you install or use the App for an employer, customer, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

2. Service

The App provides custom monday.com automation blocks for hierarchy-aware Status triggering, dependency-based Status changes, fixed text/number updates, and optional AI-generated text. The App can make changes to monday boards automatically when configured conditions occur. You are responsible for reviewing and testing your configuration before relying on it in production.

3. Relationship with monday.com

The App is an independent application built for use with monday.com. monday.com is provided by monday.com Ltd. monday.com is not a party to the relationship between you and the Developer. Your use of monday.com remains subject to monday.com's own agreements and policies. Nothing in these Terms states or implies that monday.com endorses, sponsors, warrants, or guarantees the App.

4. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms and your applicable subscription, the Developer grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the App through authorized monday.com accounts for your internal business purposes. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

5. Plans, usage limits, and billing

The App may be offered under Free, Starter, Standard, Professional, and Unlimited plans. One operation means one dependent item selected for processing by one of the App's dependent-item actions.

PlanOperations / monthMonthlyAnnual
Free30$0$0
Starter400$3$18
Standard1,000$6$36
Professional2,000$12$72
UnlimitedUnlimited$24$144

Paid subscriptions, renewals, taxes, checkout, and cancellation processing are handled through monday.com's Marketplace monetization system. If the Marketplace purchase flow presents different current pricing or billing terms, the terms shown in that purchase flow control for that transaction.

6. Refund policy

For purchases billed through the monday.com Marketplace, you may receive a full refund if you cancel the applicable App license, subscription, or other paid offering within 30 days of purchase. monday.com may process cancellations and refunds on the Developer's behalf and may provide additional refunds in its discretion under its Marketplace rules. After the 30-day refund period, refunds are not guaranteed except where required by applicable law or provided by monday.com in its discretion.

7. Free plan

The Free plan currently includes up to 30 dependent-item operations per monthly usage period. We may modify free-plan limits prospectively, subject to applicable Marketplace rules, existing purchase commitments, and any notice required by law.

8. Your data, instructions, and consent

You retain responsibility for the monday.com data, configuration choices, text, instructions, and other content you make available to the App. By enabling and configuring an App automation, you instruct and explicitly consent to the App accessing, using, and transmitting the monday.com data reasonably necessary to perform that automation, as described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have all rights, permissions, notices, and consents required for the App to process that information on behalf of you or your organization.

When you enable the optional AI action, you specifically instruct and consent to the App sending the bounded context described in the Privacy Policy, including relevant item data and, where applicable, recent Updates/comments and item activity, through monday.com's native AI service for the purpose of generating the requested output.

9. Automation and AI responsibility

Automations can modify board data without further manual confirmation after their configured conditions are met. AI-generated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying Dependency relationships, trigger conditions, target columns, generated text, AI results, and downstream changes before relying on them for consequential decisions.

The App and AI output do not constitute legal, medical, financial, tax, engineering, safety, or other professional advice.

10. Prohibited and high-risk uses

You may not use the App in violation of law, third-party rights, monday.com policies, or security controls. You also may not use the App as the sole or primary control for life-safety systems, emergency response, medical diagnosis or treatment, autonomous vehicle or machinery control, aviation or nuclear operations, financial-trading execution, or other safety-critical or high-risk activities where an erroneous automation or generated output could reasonably be expected to cause death, personal injury, substantial property damage, or similarly severe harm.

11. Restrictions and monday.com proprietary rights

You may not, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher, or attempt to derive source code or underlying structure from the App; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code, design, or structure of the monday.com API, SDK, or Services; (c) circumvent technical, usage, security, subscription, or access controls; (d) use the App to probe, scan, or test monday.com systems without authorization; or (e) use monday.com proprietary materials except as authorized by monday.com. monday.com and its licensors retain all ownership and intellectual-property rights in the monday.com API, SDK, Services, and related materials.

12. Third-party and platform dependencies

The App depends on services outside the Developer's control, including monday.com APIs, webhooks, authentication, Marketplace services, monday Code, monday AI, network connectivity, and services used by monday.com. Those services may be unavailable, delayed, modified, rate-limited, deprecated, discontinued, or behave differently after platform changes. The Developer is not responsible for failures caused by third-party or platform services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Your responsibilities

14. Availability, maintenance, and changes

We may maintain, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue App features as reasonably necessary for security, platform compatibility, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, any particular uptime, or that every current feature will remain available indefinitely, except to the extent expressly required by applicable law or a separate written agreement.

15. Support and future contact

Support requests may be sent to support@multilevelboarddependencies.com. Support covers reasonable assistance with installation, authorization, App configuration, subscription/usage questions, reproducible defects, and security or privacy concerns relating to the App. General monday.com consulting, custom board design, custom software development, and issues caused solely by third-party products are outside the standard support scope unless separately agreed.

We aim to respond to ordinary support requests within 2 business days and to respond promptly to issues reasonably identified as urgent. We may contact users or account administrators for support responses, operational or security notices, billing or account-administration communications, required legal notices, and product updates where permitted by law and applicable consent requirements. We do not sell contact information for third-party marketing.

16. Privacy

Our processing of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference for purposes of describing the App's data practices.

17. Intellectual property

Except for monday.com materials and third-party software or components subject to their own licenses, the App, website content, documentation, and related intellectual property are owned by the Developer or the applicable licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

18. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND RESULTS. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY MONDAY.COM CONFIGURATION, OR THAT AUTOMATION OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE CORRECT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MONDAY.COM AND ITS LICENSORS MAKE NO WARRANTY TO YOU REGARDING THE APP, AND NOTHING IN THESE TERMS CREATES A WARRANTY OR LIABILITY OF MONDAY.COM FOR THE APP.

19. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR EXPECTED SAVINGS; COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM AUTOMATED BOARD CHANGES, MISCONFIGURED AUTOMATIONS, DEPENDENCY DATA, AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, PLATFORM CHANGES, OUTAGES, OR LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP DURING THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MONDAY.COM LTD., ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS LICENSORS WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE APP, THE APP'S OUTPUT, OR THE DEVELOPER'S ACTS OR OMISSIONS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXPANDS MONDAY.COM'S LIABILITY BEYOND ANY LIABILITY IT HAS TO YOU UNDER YOUR SEPARATE AGREEMENT WITH MONDAY.COM.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited, or waived.

20. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Developer, the Developer's service providers and licensors, and monday.com Ltd. and its applicable affiliates and licensors from third-party claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, judgments, fines, penalties, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees to the extent arising out of or relating to: (a) your unlawful, unauthorized, or prohibited use of the App; (b) your data, content, AI instructions, or automation configuration; (c) your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights; (d) a claim that information or instructions supplied by you infringe, misappropriate, or violate another person's rights; or (e) your misuse of monday.com proprietary materials, API, SDK, or Services. This Section does not require indemnification to the extent prohibited by applicable law or to the extent a claim was caused by the indemnified party's own conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.

21. Termination and App discontinuation

You may stop using the App by disabling or deleting its automations and/or uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, nonpayment, platform requirements, or material violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends.

If the App is deprecated, removed from the Marketplace, or discontinued, we will provide notice to affected users and maintain any required wind-down period, support, access, or refund obligations for existing subscriptions to the extent required by monday.com Marketplace rules and applicable law.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, governing law, and dispute provisions—will survive.

22. Force majeure

The Developer will not be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet or cloud outages, monday.com outages or API changes, acts of government, natural disasters, labor disputes, cyberattacks not caused by the Developer's failure to use legally required safeguards, war, terrorism, civil unrest, utility failures, or similar events, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Governing law and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights or mandatory venue rules under applicable law, you and the Developer consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Kansas for disputes arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms.

24. General terms

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms presented through the applicable monday.com Marketplace purchase flow, constitute the agreement between you and the Developer concerning the App. Marketplace purchase terms control solely to the extent they specifically govern billing, payment, cancellation, or refund processing for a transaction.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without the Developer's prior written consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise. The Developer may assign these Terms in connection with a sale, transfer, reorganization, or succession of the App or the Developer's business, subject to applicable law.

No waiver of mandatory rights. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer or other person to waive rights or remedies that applicable law makes non-waivable.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law or Marketplace rules. Where legally required, changes will apply only after required notice or consent. The “Last updated” date identifies the most recent revision.
